WASHINGTON – The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) is proud to support the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Tire Industry Project (TIP) and its new Roadmap for the tire sector, Sustainability Driven: Accelerating Impact with the Tire Sector SDG Roadmap.

Following the United Nations Agenda 2030, the global tire industry continues seize opportunities for innovation and action to address supply chain enhancements, operational improvements and product impact. TIP’s Roadmap for the tire sector will align not just tire makers, but the automotive industry at large so all can act collectively to identify opportunities and create solutions to address the most pressing challenges across the industry value chain and its stakeholders.

The USTMA and its member companies share the Roadmap’s goals for safety and environmental stewardship, including mitigating climate change, increasing workplace safety, addressing tire and road wear particles, and promoting sustainable end-use markets for scrap tires.

We are pleased to support USTMA members who are also members of TIP as they model the SDG Roadmap’s implementation.
