Each USTMA member company selects a “Tire Manufacturing Ambassador” to represent our manufacturing facilities around the country on Capitol Hill. The annual program sends the Ambassadors to Washington, DC to meet with Members of Congress on issues of importance while also spotlighting talented and passionate individuals who work in the tire manufacturing industry.
Ambassadors representing USTMA member companies, were chosen by their company to stand for them in Washington due to their extraordinary professional contributions and impact in their organization. They were selected from among thousands of industry peers for their outstanding leadership.
USTMA’s research concluded the tire manufacturing industry does not get the credit it deserves among external stakeholders for making a highly sophisticated and essential product. Capitol Hill legislators offered feedback that they want to hear about our industry from the engineers and plant employees in our companies in addition to upper-level company executives.
Now in its seventh year, the program has primarily been held in Washington, D.C. in person, with the exception of 2021-2022 when it was conducted virtually.
