Nashville, Tennessee Corporate Headquarters

Hankook Tire America Corp.

Wes Boling oversees Hankook Tire’s public relations presence in the United States and the company’s six other subsidiaries in North, Central and South America. He manages the company’s earned media, social media and corporate and social responsibility programs, as well as overseeing a team that plans events on behalf of the company. He also spearheads Hankook America’s internal communications initiatives and helps facilitate the company’s relationships with government officials.

Since coming to Hankook Tire just over a year ago, Wes has helped raise awareness of the company throughout the American market. The company’s award-winning public relations campaigns and dynamic social media voice have led to enhanced brand value. Last October, Wes’s office oversaw planning of the grand opening ceremony for Hankook Tire’s first-ever North American manufacturing plant. The Tennessee Plant Grand Opening Ceremony welcomed local and global leaders, including the Tennessee Governor, a United States Congressman, the company’s worldwide leadership and key American customers.

Under Wes’s leadership, Hankook Tire continues to expand its nationwide relationship with Disabled American Veterans, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving soldiers wounded in combat. Hankook sponsors mobile service office stops at dealers around the country and provides DAV with a financial donation.

Prior to working at Hankook America, Wes served as Senior Account Executive at Mary Beth West Communications, a Tennessee-based public relations agency. During his tenure at MBWC, he devised and executed award-winning campaigns for clients across a variety of sectors, including economic development, tourism and education. Wes arrived at MBWC after he helped grow his family’s business, a Nashville-based audiology practice, while pursuing a graduate degree.

Wes began his career as a sports journalist at the CBS television affiliate in Knoxville, Tenn. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism at The University of Tennessee and has a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from Belmont University.

Wes is a member of the Nashville International Business Council Advisory Board, a group of local business leaders that counsels the Nashville Chamber of Commerce on international issues and promotes Middle Tennessee’s economic development efforts. He is also a mentor for students in the State of Tennessee’s tnAchieves scholarship program and a volunteer reader for Bookem, a Nashville charity that provides books to elementary school children. Wes is also a freelance broadcaster who calls sporting events for several teams in Middle Tennessee.
