USTMA Members Drove Community Impact in 2025 With Expanded Giving and Volunteerism

January 13, 2026

USTMA’s 11 member companies foster positive change year-round, supporting communities through education, safety and environmental stewardship. From record-breaking fundraising campaigns to local volunteer efforts and longstanding scholarship and community programs, USTMA members are reinforcing that creating safe, sustainable mobility also means investing in people.

Bridgestone Americas

Bridgestone demonstrates its commitment to community impact, pairing record donations with targeted grants that expand access and opportunity. Its “United by What Really Matters” national campaign raised more than $2.4 million for United Way of Greater Nashville, United Way of Summit & Medina and United Way of Greater Cleveland. The company pushed its decadelong United Way support to over $17 million. Bridgestone teammates participated in blood drives, and donated 300+ hours of their time through volunteering and over 28,000 canned food and personal hygiene items, and engaging employees in activities like blood drives, food collections and assembling hygiene kits.

Beyond the campaign, the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund awarded “mobility” grants totaling $200,000. These grants support adaptive sports programming at 62 public schools in eight states. About 1,400 students with disabilities will directly benefit from the funds, helping to launch or expand sports programs such as basketball, soccer, track and field and bowling.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

Goodyear continued to give back to the communities in which its associates live and work through its annual Global Week of Volunteering and long-running holiday toy drives.

During the company’s Global Week of Volunteering, associates around the world partnered with local nonprofits to complete more than 250 hands-on service projects and skills-based volunteering.

Goodyear again teamed up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to host its annual Toys for Tots events at its blimp bases in Ohio, Florida and California, inviting community members to donate new, unwrapped toys and funds for children in need. These holiday drives, now in their 15th year, have collectively generated more than 300,000 toys and more than $875,000 to benefit the Marines Toys for Tots Program.

Continental Tire Americas

Continental invests in programs that connect its safety and sustainability ambitions with community impact. This year, the company launched “My First Car, My First Tires” campaign that invites drivers and influencers to share their first car stories while teaching new drivers how critical tire choice is for safety. Continental continued its support for the National Safety Council’s “Alive at 25” program, which sponsors free defensive driving training for young drivers in South Carolina. In 2025, Continental marked 10 years of partnership with the Anne Springs Close Greenway by donating $25,000 to help support the 2,100-acre nature reserve in their backyard of Fort Mill, S.C. Early in 2025, the company donated $180.000 to the Lancaster County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity to begin the affiliate’s first home build in five years. Employees will volunteer on the home build into 2026.

Kumho Tire USA

In 2025, Kumho Tire USA advanced its commitment to community impact through targeted philanthropy and employee-led volunteerism, reinforcing that creating safe, sustainable mobility also means investing in people and local communities. The company contributed $100,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation’s wildfire fund to support communities affected by California wildfires. Kumho Tire USA also leveraged its sponsorship of the Atlanta Hawks by dedicating a Kumho Hawks Entitlement Night to supporting the Atlanta Children’s Foundation, underscoring its commitment to children in the region. Through its employee volunteer group, Kumho Rangers, team members helped clean and restore local parks in the Atlanta area and participated in the Atlanta Hawks’ Million Meal Pack initiative to support neighbors struggling with food insecurity. Building on this foundation, Kumho Tire USA plans to expand its community impact in 2026 through more structured programs, including career development and job connection projects for youth served by the Atlanta Children’s Foundation, and new initiatives to honor and support veterans. Kumho Rangers will continue to play a leading role by driving environmental stewardship and community service projects that further integrate the company into the neighborhoods where its employees live and work.

Michelin North America

Michelin leans into education, veteran support and local relief as pillars of its community work. Its flagship Michelin Challenge Education program sent employee volunteers into elementary schools across North America, delivering more than 150,000 books across a decade to local students. The company also sustained its partnership with United Way of Greenville County, S.C., through workplace giving and hands-on projects like assembling literacy kits for local students, while renewing its collaboration with Delta Air Lines and the Best Defense Foundation to help World War II veterans return to Normandy for commemorations tied to the 81st anniversary of DDay. Across its footprint, Michelin supplemented these efforts with ongoing support for food banks and Special Olympics chapters.

Toyo Tires

Toyo Tires continued partnering locally in Bartow County, Georgia, supporting a wellness focused health fair with Piedmont Cartersville Hospital as part of broader efforts to promote a healthier community where its U.S. manufacturing facility is based. In addition, Toyo’s global community portfolio in 2025 featured cause related events such as the Toyo Tires Charity Run in Malaysia, which brought together more than 1,200 participants to raise funds for local organizations.

Giti Tire

Giti Tire continued to invest in future talent and local education by hosting its annual STEAM competition for K-12 students in Chester County, S.C. This competition, which brings together Giti-sponsored math and science clubs in schools across the county, provides hands-on exposure to new technologies while building critical problem-solving skills and a passion for discovery.

Nokian Tyres

Nokian backs initiatives such as the Nokian Tyres Summer Nights concert series in downtown Dayton and environmental partnerships like the Thrive Regional Partnership. The company also provides scholarships and educational support to help local students pursue opportunities after high school.

Hankook

Hankook Tire deepened its commitment to Tennessee communities with a significant donation to support the opening of the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee’s Clarksville Club. This contribution will help bring curriculum-based programs in academics, healthy lifestyles and leadership to youth to the Clarksville area, where Hankook’s North American manufacturing plant has been a major employer since 2017.

Hankook Tire also sponsored a community project led by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. Hankook supported the renovations of the Parkwood Community Club ballfields, as part of the total project scope also included a 59-acre Metro Park, and building 26 new Habitat homes.

Yokohama

Yokohama corporate partnerships are designed to give back to the environment and provide support at national, state, and local levels through organizations such as Tread Lightly!, the California State Parks Foundation, and the Surfrider Foundation, respectively. Yokohama encourages their employees to participate in planned volunteer days with these organizations so they can contribute to their local communities.

Through targeted partnerships, such as with the High Fives Foundation, Yokohama provides product and program support to help them achieve their mission. Specifically with High Fives, the organization's goal is to lead in education, prevention, and recovery for life-changing injuries in outdoor action sports; through our product support, Yokohama helps them get closer to achieving that objective.

Yokohama also focuses on supporting local communities at both corporate and employee levels, with emphasis on the youth of tomorrow—such as scholarships with Steel United or financial support for the Rancho Santa Marta orphanage. This helps improve the lives of children in these organizations by providing access to programs and advancing their educational journeys.

Pirelli LLC

Pirelli reaffirmed its global road safety leadership by announcing a new round of funding for the UN Road Safety Fund, extending a partnership that supports projects to reduce traffic deaths and injuries in low and middle income countries. The renewed commitment will help finance initiatives focused on safer roads, vehicles and behaviors. In Georgia, Pirelli supports The Ray, a nonprofit that transforms highway infrastructure into a living laboratory for sustainable transportation and regenerative solutions. In addition, Pirelli partners with the Coosa River Basin Initiative for clean water, and with Berry College on the Berry Longleaf Pine Project in Georgia to help restore rare Mountain Longleaf Pine habitats, reinforcing Pirelli’s commitment to the community and the environment near its U.S. factory.

U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association

During National Tire Safety Week, USTMA’s members continue to raise awareness and educate the U.S. driving population on the importance of proper tire care, safety and maintenance as an essential part of road safety. The annual initiative is supported by all USTMA members and acknowledged by the National Lieutenant Governors Association in its 2025 tire safety resolution.

Together, USTMA’s member companies are demonstrating that tire manufacturing and community impact go hand in hand, from STEM education to veterans’ programs, tire safety education, and sustainable mobility partnerships. Their financial contributions, education initiatives, support and thousands of hours of employee volunteerism are helping strengthen neighborhoods, expand opportunity and protect motorists and the environment across the nation and in communities where they live, work and manufacture tires.
