James Tsai is General Counsel and Secretary of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. (TTHA), the holding company for the North American operations of Toyo Tire Corporation of Itami, Japan. Mr. Tsai joined TTHA’s law department in 2011 and was promoted in 2016 to general counsel and secretary of TTHA. Prior to joining TTHA, Mr. Tsai worked for 15 years in private practice specializing in corporate law. Mr. Tsai earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from New York University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University.

He is a member of the bar in Illinois, California, and Washington, DC and is a certified public accountant (inactive). The TTHA group consists of the tire sales companies, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp., Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc., Toyo Tire Canada Inc., and Toyo Tire North America O.E. Sales LLC, and the manufacturing entity, Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc.
